What Are Tonsil Stones?
Tonsil stones or to put in medical terms, tonsilloliths are a cluster of calcareous (derivatives of calcium) matter that infects the tonsils tissue.
The tonsil stones are commonly white in color and have a strong unpleasant odor because of the contents which are mostly volatile sulfide compounds.
Sometimes this infection is misconceived as food debris stuck in the mouth. It might lead to halitosis every so often.
